Another thing to mention here is that the domain market has really started opening up with the domain registrar ICANN opening up a host of new options for top level domains. Whilst our main recommendation for domain registration is Namecheap, due to their reasonable prices, easy of use and also due to the fact that they sell very reasonable hosting packages. This makes the step up to a professionally hosted website as easy as clicking a button and switching on the hosting. However, many people prefer to keep their domain registrar seperate from their hosting provider. Whilst this does add another layer of complexity, it can offer more peace of mind.
